Homestead Farm farmhouse, Cropper Lane, Osleston and Thurvaston, an early 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 23 NW 1/38 PARISH OF OSLESTON & THURVASTON CROPPER LANE (East Side) Homestead Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Early C18, altered in C19. Painted red brick with brick dressings and plain tile roof with brick coped gables and kneelers, also two brick gable stacks and brick ridge stack. Continuous first floor band. Two storeys and four bays. Glazed panelled door under flat arch to east and beyond to east glazing bar 2-light casement under similar arch. Two similar windows to west and above four similar, their flat arches partly hidden by later gutter. Casements and stone sills, probably C19. Interior has open welled, splat baluster staircase, oak plank doors and inglenook fireplaces, with cupboards to the sides in the central room. Listing NGR: SK2390335879.' (1)
