Stenson lock and bridge, Stenson Lane, Twyford and Stenson, built c1777. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF TWYFORD AND STENSON STENSON LANE, STENSON SK 32 NW 3/107 (West Side) Stenson Lock and Attached Bridge to East GV II Road bridge and attached lock on the Trent and Mersey Grand Trunk Canal. c1777. Red brick with sandstone dressings, timber and iron. The bridge is of red brick with sandstone quoins and copings. Single segmental arch and an oval metal plaque above inscribed with the number 19. The walls curve out to end piers. The lock attached to the west is of brick, the upper courses of sandstone with sandstone copings. Timber lock gates. Listing NGR: SK3256629960.' (1)
