Full Description

SK 224196. A middle Bronze Age basal-looped socketed bronze spearhead, with a surviving length of nine inches and the wood of the shaft still in the socket, was found by Mr Peter Springall in gravel near the west bank of the river Trent, at a depth of one foot, where landslip was caused by the floods of Feb/Mar 1977.
