Knowl House and Green Lane Cottage, Green Lane, Hognaston, a 17th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 25 SW PARISH OF HOGNASTON MAIN STREET/ 2/19 GREEN LANE Knowl House and outbuildings II Farmhouse. C17 and later. Coursed rubble gritstone with ashlar dressings. Tiled roof and brick ridge stack. Double fronted house with attached former outbuildings under one roof to north-west. Two-storeys. C19 brick wing at rear. The C17 house has a central doorway with stone quoins, lintel dated 1694 and dripstone. Flanked by 2-light flush stone mullion windows. Two similar windows above. Flush stone quoins. Outbuildings with irregular fenestration including one C17 2-light chamfered mullion window. Another C17 2-light chamfered mullion window with dripmould in the south gable.
