Old Reading Rooms, School Lane, Beeley, a 17th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF BEELEY SCHOOL LANE SK 26 NE 5/47 (South Side) The Cottage (formerly 12.7.67 listed as House West of School) II Cottage. C17. Coursed rubble gritstone with gritstone dressings. Stone slate roof, coped gables with moulded kneelers. Central ashlar stack. Two storeys. North elevation of three bays. Central doorway with chamfered surround of massive quoins and lintel. To the right a 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window. Two similar windows above, either side of a similar single light window. Fenestration to south mostly altered. Listing NGR: SK2657767564.' (1)
