Full Description

Leathersley Farm farmhouse, Leathersley Lane, Sudbury, a late 17th or early 18th century building. From the National Heirtage List for England: 'SK 13 SE PARISH OF SUDBURY SCROPTON LANE 3/72 (South Side) Leathersley Farm House 13.9.67 II Farmhouse. Late C17 and mid C18. Red brick with sandstone dressings, plain tile roof with stone coped gables with moulded kneelers to late C17 part and a brick coped gable with plain kneelers to mid C18 part. Two brick gable stacks and a stack in the pitch of the roof. First and second floor brick bands. Two storeys and attics. Symmetrical four bay south elevation has central doorway with massive chamfered stone jambs and lintel. C19 half-glazed door. Flanked on each side by two 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows with the mullions removed. Four similar windows above, the outer ones still with mullions. One roof dormer with hipped roof. Mid-C18 wing set back to left, with a single light and a 3-light wooden casement window under flat arch, to ground floor. Listing NGR: SK1746631123.' (1)
