Full Description

'Tumulus' is marked on the Ordnance Survey 6" map of 1924 at approximately SK 2447 3156. (1) This feature, shown on the OS map of 1924 as a mound 30m east-west by 15m north-south, no longer exists. The area is now covered by a disused gravel pit. (2) The mound is not shown by Crawford (3), and has been deleted from later OS maps. (4)
