Full Description

(SK 20583389) Earthworks visible on air-photo. (1) A small area of village shrinkage to the north of Church Broughton consisting of a hollow way and an area of poorly defined ditches and banks. The hollow way is 10.0m wide and up to 1.0m deep and runs from SK20603377 to SK20613391. The ditches lie to the west of the hollow way but do not form any coherent pattern. The whole area slopes down gently to the north and is bounded on the north and east by rig and furrow. Now under permanent pasture. No surface finds were made during perambulation. (2)
