A medieval cross, St Michael's Church, Shirley. (1) The remains of the old churchyard cross at Shirley consist of three square steps, the base stone, and about two feet of the shaft of the cross. (2) See G.P's AO/66/27/1 & 2. (3) (SK 21894163) The Grade II listed churchyard cross is of medieval date and comprises a square stone base with part of the octagonal tapered shaft on three steps. (4)
