Full Description

[Area SK 21895497] 3rd century pottery sherds picked up on north slope of Rainster Rocks including Derbyshire Ware, on 23.4.53. (1) The pottery, in small fragments, is in the possession of the finder Mrs F.Radford of Brassington together with a bronze ring from the same site; she agreed with the general area of find as shewn. The finds were made after ploughing. The field has since been returned to pasture and no recent finds have been made. (2)
