Full Description

A Romano-British earthwork enclosure complex has been recorded in King Sterndale parish (not visible on Ordnance Survey Aerial Photographs 71 098 485-6). (1) Located west of Highcliff Plantation. (2) Romano-British field system. Features include lynchets, earthen and stone banks, terraces and rectilinear and sub-circular enclosures. The Romano-British date is obtained from the rectilinear enclosures. (3)
