SK 0585 7175: Fernhouse, ?Roman Milestone: A large millstone grit pillar 'likely to be a Roman milestone' (1) has been recorded in the area of Fern House (SK 0585 7175). (2) It is approximately 1500m (1700yds) from the site of a stone on London Road, on the alignment of the Roman road from the S.W. (3)
