Full Description

Ordnance Survey mapping shows a cave on the south slope of Pig Tor, between the graveyard and Tor Lane. In fact it is a worked out lead vein, possibly 18th century. The entrance to the mine is level for 5 yards and the floor then falls away vertically. The roof of the workings is approximately 20 ft high. (1)
