(1) From the National Heritage List for England: 'NEW ROAD, MIDDLETON 1. 1839 Nos 2 & 3 SK 25 NE 3/111 II 2. Late C17 or early C18. Uncoursed stone rubble; 2 storeys; 4 small-paned windows in plain surrounds; 2 simple doorways in plain square-framed surrounds; plain eaves; tiles. Listing NGR: SK2756156142.' (2)
