Full Description

[Area SK 2385 5263] Pottery has been ploughed up in the same field as the tumulus at Owslow Farm, but to the south-east. (1) Potsherds were found, but not retained, by a farmworker digging a silage pit in the indicated area. He later described his finds to Mr Stevenson who "deduced them to be Romano-British". No pottery was found during investigation [in 1966] and the silage pit could not be accurately sited. (2)
