SK 0980 7225: King Sterndale, Celtic Fields: (Centered SK 097 722) A Celtic field complex. (PRN 1363) has been recorded at SK 09657225, SK 09757223 and SK 0987217. (Nothing visible on Ordnance Survey Aerial Photographs 70424 343-4; 10/10/1970). (1, 4) Celtic field complex immediately east of King Sterndale. Some now removed by quarry complex. (3) King Sterndale field system. Features include lynchets, earthen banks, stone banks and rectilinear enclosures. The dating is based upon the rectilinear fields. (6)
