Full Description

Remains of a brick kiln with sandstone foundations showing above the turf. There is a large area of vitrified and distorted discards around it and a clay pit some 15m to the west. There are the slight remains of a banked enclosure between the kiln and the pit. (1) Depicted as 'Old Clay Pit' and 'Ruin' on the 1st ed. 25" OS map. (2)
