Full Description

Crash-site of a twin-engined American bomber, from the base at Ashbourne. It crashed into an old hedge after a collision with overhead cables on a night training flight in WWII. New hedge growth shows the point of collision. Finds were passed to aircraft archaeologists for safe keeping and for the tracing of a relative via a locket with photograph. (1)
