Full Description

Small mound equidistant between 10405 and 10406 had already been disturbed. Fragment of pottery similar to a Dark Age vessel from Brincliff was found. (1) Other finds included fragments of bone, one possibly human and a possible gritstone rubber. Ward suggested the sherd was Romano-British As no burial was found this feature may have been fortuitous and/or was associated with domestic activity. (4)
