Full Description

Derelict but recognisable lime kiln. The top is overgrown with grass but the draw tunnel is unfilled. (1). The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map records the kiln as an Old Limekiln and it therefore pre-dates 1880. (2). The area has been recognised as a high priority lead mining site. (3).
