Full Description

SK 29656020. The station dates from 1850 and now is rather altered. Both the station and the nearby station house [see SMR 10084] were designed by J Paxton. (1, 2) Gritstone goods shed with ornate wooden awning formerly serving Matlock Station goods yard. This and other former railway buildings in the vicinity are currently (1997) used by Peak Rail. (3)
