[SK 22287720] MOMPESSON'S WELL [G.T.] (1) "Mompessons's Well" or "Mompesson's Brook" a well or rivulet north of Eyam where articles were left for collection by the villagers of Eyam during the plague of 1665-6. Named after the Rev. William Mompesson. (2) See G.P.A.O/65/96/1. (3)
