Full Description

"Bronze palstave or axe - with the sides of handle turned up and forming a partial socket on each side" found in ploughing over a tumulus at Blake Low, near Longstone, 1846. Acc. No. J.93 - 481. (1). This is a palstave with large flanges. The Museum have no siting evidence. (2)
