Monument record MDR4101 - ?Celtic Fields, north-east of Rowland, Hassop

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Possible Celtic fields at Rowland. The area is heavily ploughed and the earthworks are difficult to define and date. (1,2). No features could be located in 1993. The area north-east of the map reference given may well have been ploughed in the intervening period, but the area west of the quarry seems unlikely to have been disturbed. (3).
