Full Description

Finds of flint from Middleton moor. A Neolithic to Bronze Age individual flake was found at SK 2030 7476 found in or before 1976 and retained by J.C. Boler. (1) Large concentration of Neolithic to Bronze Age flint, found in or before 1977, including six tortoise type blade cores, knives, a leaf arrowhead, a hammerstone and waste material. Three fragments of unprocessed lead were also recovered. The site at SK 2050 7490 has been destroyed by the slurry dam. (2)
