Full Description

SK 219843 Saddle quern found July 1958 by Mr.G.A. Makepeace on the east side of the plantation, 300 yards N.N.E. of the New Road bridge over Hurstclough Brook on Bamford Moor. Left on site. (1) Mr. Makepeace indicated the find spot as SK 2197 8442: the quern is now in his possession. (2)
