Cross shaft, St Michael's Churchyard, Hathersage, of medieval date. 'At SK 23404 81845 is the remains of a stone churchyard cross with exceptionally large base. G.Ps AO/65/212/2-3.' (1, 2) Photographic record. (3) From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 23 81 PARISH OF HATHERSAGE BANK TOP 6/13 Cross Shaft in St Michael's Churchyard GV II Cross Shaft. Medieval. Broken tapering square gritstone shaft, with chamfered corners, set into a circular recess within a shallow raised step at the centre of a massive square base stone. Listing NGR: SK2341181843.' (4)
