Full Description

There is a gas works situated here on the 2nd edition 25" OS map of c. 1900. Although it is not labelled on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880, some of the buildings appear to be present by this time. (1-2) The gas works are owned by the Repton Gas Light & Coke Company at the time of the 3rd edition 25" OS map of the early 20th century. (3) The gas works are no longer extant on modern OS mapping [2014]. (4)
