Full Description

SK 351 278: Cropmark of half of a ring ditch visible at Barrow upon Trent (1). Nothing visible on OS air photographs (3). Possibly modern. (1-3) The photograph (1) was examined by the RCHME during the National Forest Project. The cropmark features were considered to be non-archaeological in origin. (4) Medieval field system seen as ridge and furrow cropmarks in the fields surrounding and including the 'ring-ditch' field. Cropmarks plotted on map overlay, 1:10,000. (5)
