SK 33603791 Toll Bar (1) Gothicised two-storey brick tollhouse with a single storey east wing built by the Loughborough & Brassington Trust and unoccupied at present. (2) Mid 19th century buff-brick toll-house. Grade 2. (3, 4) Two storey brick toll house with projecting single storey wing on the south side, with fish-tail tiled gabled roof and iron-framed windows with lozenge-shaped panes. This section of the former main route north to Manchester was improved under an Act of 1738. (5)
