Full Description

SK 078 862: Swine Bank, Beaker Pottery: An 'A' Beaker sherd was found , 8.8.1957 by Mr. A. Miller, on the surface of a thin sandy layer which overlay solid rock, in a small nook under the gritstone edge north of Edale Cross, at 1950ft. Charcoal was present, but no indication of any burial or barrow. In Sheffield City Museum. (1) No further information: nothing to be seen at the site. (2) Sherd comprised 10 fragments. (3)
