Full Description

SK 331301 Type 'A' beaker sherds and associated coarse ware were found a few years ago in a gravel quarry face near Stenson village by Mr. G. Turton. They all came from an elongated patch of burnt earth and charcoal, taken to be a 'casual hearth'. (1) The finder was not traced; no further information. (2)
