Full Description

SK 304 565. A flanged, bronze palstave, 4 1/4" long, 2 1/4" across at widest part, decorated with chevron. Uncovered by a bulldozer at a depth of 8ft on a housing site at Ridgeway, Cromford. Some indications of large stones forming a substantial hillock on the steep hillslope. (1) No precise information was obtained but the most likely area of find is that centred SK 3035 5652, a building development c. 1958-60. (2)
