Full Description

According to Mr S Garlick of Hasland, in c. 1968 he observed a series of definite 'setts' across the stream, at SK 39286825, whilst the stream bed was exposed. In July 1977 C Hart visited the site with S Garlick, but nothing was observed. The site was suggested to be a ford, and tentatively ascribed to the possible crossing point of the Roman road known from further south. (1)
