Full Description

'Furness Print Works' appears on the 1st edition OS map of the 1870s/80s. (1) A three-storey gritstone mill building and several single-storey buildings being the remains of the once much larger Furness Vale Printworks, which formerly incorporated a gas works. Partly in light industrial use [1984]. (2) The 1977 OS map shows mill ponds surviving. (3)
