'SK 36 SE TOWN OF CLAY CROSS STRETTON ROAD 2/30 (West Side) Milepost 15 metres east of Rose Villa II
Milepost. Early C19. Cast iron. Triangular sectioned base with moulded front angle. Flat back, with segmental arched head, curving forward to form horizontal panel below. North side inscribed 'DERBY/18 MILES'. South side inscribed 'CHESTERFIELD/ 5 MILES, DRONFIELD/11 MILES, SHEFFIELD/17 MILES'. Raised panel on front inscribed 'J HAYWOOD JNR/PHOENIX FOUNDRY/DERBY'. Back, above, inscribed 'TOWNSHIP OF STRETTON'
