Full Description

On the west side of Brassington Lane at approximately SK 3906 6496 are visible signs of platforms, possibly representing deserted settlement on the top of the hillock. (1) Egstow is mentioned in Domesday Book as 'Tegestou', meaning 'Ecga's or Ecgi's place'. (2)
