Full Description

SK 33167653. Lead seal c60mm long by 18mm c3mm thick, broken diagonally across the centre found in 1984/5 in plough soil. The impression of the seal itself is c51mm by 10mm and consists of a rectangular panel in relief with sunken letters reading CVI[..]CN. Referring either to a Cohors (VI Reatorum or VI Thracum) or possibly a personal name. (1)
