Full Description

A flint scraper was found 400m east of Coal Aston by Mr. E. Sorby of Hornsey Lane, Dronfield. Now in Derby Museum. (1) Mr. Sorby, previously a schoolmaster at Holmley Lane, is now deceased. No further information. (2) Grid refs of SK 368794? and SK37097905 given - indicates some confusion over precise location. Two different (although similar) artefact numbers also given: Derby Mus. 1945/12 and Derby Mus. 12.45. (3)
