Full Description

SK 0965 8005: Haddock Low, Spurious Round Barrow: [SK 0962 8005] Barrow. (1) No trace was found of a barrow in an area of grass covered mounds, some of which are waste material from mining and some of which are outcrop rock. (2) The only remains here are extensive shallow quarries and several large limekilns; one of the latter was mistaken for a barrow. (4) SMR records a possible Bronze Age barrow here. However, place name evidence does not necessarily imply the existence of this structure. (5)
