[Area SK 317 716] "Threebirches or Pudding-pie Hill, W. of Brampton" is included in a list of "Ancient Boles or Lead Hearths." (1) There is no evidence of a smelting site in this area and nothing of interest has been seen by the farmer during ploughing. (2) Additional source. (3)
