Full Description

A clay pipe stem was found in a field at approx. SK 344739 by P Caldwell on March 7 1976. It bears the letters W. LON . OLD and dates to between 1848-1861. (1-2) The grid reference places the findspot on Common Lane - it is not known whether the field referred to lies to the east or the west of the lane.
