Full Description

A brick yard is shown in this area on the 1st ed. 25" OS map of circa 1880. This continued to expand through the late 19th century and into the 20th century. The 3rd edition OS map shows a number of buildings, a chimney, earthworks and a tramway or rail link to the pottery (SMR 31503) to the north-east. (1, 2, 3)
