Full Description

SK 462394 Nutbrook Canal, Stanhope Arm. Short arm of canal easily discernable. (1) Presumably served Dale Abbey ironworks [SMR 26501]. (2) The side-cut of the Nutbrook Canal near Sow Brook served the ironworks at Dale via an iron railway [SMR 26517] that was laid down to the canal. (3)
