Full Description

A single storey brick-built former lace factory, with a date plaque of 1929, in Walker Street [sic]. (1) Skerritt's Factory, Walter Street. A brick and slate single-storey factory of ten bays, it was built by J Skerritt for his seven curtain lace machines in 1929. Skerritt sold his lace in the grey to the curtain lace manufacturer A & F H Parkes of Beeston. Parkes took over the factory and machines in about 1946. (2) Now in the occupation of Aburnets Ltd. (3)
