Full Description
Three circles on an aerial photograph, with dark inner, light ring with a darker hole. (1-2)
Cropmarks plotted on map overlay, 1:10,000. See also SMR 25201 - probable continuation of cropmarks described above. (3)
Futher cropmarks were identified in this area during an aerial photographic mapping survey as part of an Aggregates Resource Project. They were interpreted as being a later prehistoric/Roman rectilinear enclosure. Medieval ridge and furrow earthworks were also identified in this area. The NMR reference for the aerial photograph used is: SK 4130/2 JAP 259/34 15-JUL-1970. (4)
This area is now a housing estate [2013]. (5)
