Full Description

Ridge and Furrow running N-S. Cropmarks plotted on map overlay, 1:10,000. (1) Ridge and furrow noted from aerial photographs taken in 1971 (2) and during an earthwork survey in 1995. The most well-preserved earthworks were found along all parts of Elvaston Avenue. The trees which form the avenue were planted on top of the existing ridge and furrow and have protected it from agricultural damage. Elsewhere, earthworks have been eroded by agricultural activity.
