Full Description

SK 488 336 Milner Road, Power Station. Generating halls of former Long Eaton U.D.C. generating station, built from 1903 onwards. Interesting eliptical windows. (1) A power station, built in 1903. It is built of red brick. The roadside elevation is of two storeys. It has irregular fenestration with semicircular heads, set beneath two large, low pitched gables. The power station appears in Palmer's Industrial Landscapes of the East Midlands. (2) Now part of the Milner Road industrial units [2005]. (3)
