Full Description

SK 481 326 Sawley, Trent Mills. Early 20th century single-storey lace factory, occupied by Concordia Electric Wire and Cable Co. since 1916. (1) This mill was built about 1912 for the lace makers Sawley Textiles Limited, who only remained in business for about four years. By 1916 Concordia Electric Wire Company occupied the mill. (2) The area depicted on the map is that of the original mill, as shown on the OS map of 1914. (3) Trent Mills was built in about 1909. (4)
