Full Description

Coal Mine identified from 1845 tithe map. (1) Shown as New Dunsal Pit on Sanderson's map of 1835, a short distance from a railway (SMR 14011) connecting it to the coal wharf to the north. (2) Shown as 'Old Shaft' on the 1st ed. 25" OS map of c. 1880. (3)
